Reception at Lumen Halt is staffed around the clock, with check-in from 3pm and check-out by 11am. Early arrivals and later departures can often be arranged in advance with our front desk, depending on occupancy.

We recommend booking ahead, particularly for weekends, as our art-deco suites are limited in number. Reservations can be made by phone or through our booking page, and last-minute availability can be checked directly with reception.

We ask guests to dress smart-casual in the evening, in keeping with the vintage glamour of the salon. Tailored jackets and elegant dresses are common in the gaming lounge, though we don't require formal black tie.

The gaming lounge welcomes hotel guests and visitors on the premises each evening. Tables such as roulette and blackjack are attended by professional dealers, and while walk-ins are generally accommodated, reserving a seat is advisable on live jazz nights.

Yes, guests must be 18 or older with valid photo identification to enter the on-site casino lounge, in line with UK licensing requirements. This applies to all classic table games played in person within the venue.

Limited private parking is available for hotel guests near the entrance, and additional public parking can be found within a short walk in central Brighton. Our reception team can advise on the most convenient option upon arrival.
